Yes, about as random as it seems. I was fiddling with some other things and ended up putting a pair of glasses on Nhani for no apparent reason beyond my own eyesight being abysmal and found the result surprisingly good, so I decided to share. I’m not quite sure how a night elf with glasses would actually make sense, but I’ve made stranger renders!

IMHO this is one of my least favorite wallpapers. I don’t like Lara Croft, and Nhani with these glasses looks almost like her. Rest of your art work is much better, though.

Putting Nhani in glasses was something I did at random when fiddling around with another idea – a sort of just amusing one-off in a what-if-Beyond-the-Tree-was-just-acted-and-filmed, complete with yelling “CUT!” when someone skipped dialogue. I might make smoething of it, I might not, but with Nhani essentially being my avatar, she got the priveledge of being the frustrated director trying to deal with the upstart actresses. And since my eye sight is crap, I chose to emphasize the difference between character Nhani and director Nhani by way of glasses.
Whether you’ll get to see any of the other outcomes of the whole idea or not remains to be seen. I’ve got a few amusing ideas I might run with, but it depends on how well they fit in the context at the time and whether I can make them amusing enough.
Lovely wallpaper. It is absolutely beautiful in my opinion! But I have one question, the rogue lurking next to her right elbow bothers me. Is that an undead? Walking around in Darnassus? Or am I seeing things?
Night elf, actually. That’d be my stealthed alt trying to hide in plain sight – screenshots need to be centered on something, and not all of them can be taken at first person view.
I do try to hide it whenever possible, but sometimes like this I pretty much just hope people will think it’s a shadow or somesuch rather than see what it really is 😉
