Random Wallpaper Post

Right, productive day. Or unproductive, if you take into account the things I was supposed to have done instead. *ahem* Anyhow, no widescreen either. Too tired to crop it. No text, so auto-cropping should be good enough, I think.

Anyhow.. context. Yes.. what to say.. I was suggested the idea – or rather I nudgingly told a friend of mine that I had a creative rush and wanted ideas for renders, preferably including Tyrande as I haven’t had her around for awhile. I was described a mental image of a paricular young novice scribe enlisted by a certain Priestess to do work for the Temple presenting her works to the High Priestess for scrutiny. The image appealed enough to me that I set to work at it and behold.. it is complete.

Ultimately, I have to say that I hate Tyrande’s skirt – now when I’ve started getting used to the new skirt rig Te’len has, the pretty much antiquated take that Tyrande still uses is a significant pain to work with. It simply doesn’t conform well at all in any situation other than simply standing almost straight up. It’s bumped Tyrande’s model up quite a bit on the priorty list for revision. For now it’s serviceable, but I’d like to be able to have a greater potential for performance out of her model for future work. The big question raised, of course, is whether to keep her as-is or apply the odd tweak – she does tend to stand around with a bow and a moonglaive – those has to be attached somehow.

It shall be something to ponder.

Not without completely redoing the rig, and likely all the morphs, so it’d probably mean I’d update the model itself while at it. The problem is that Te’len avoids a few potentially inconvenient situations by having the front of her skirt split open. Tyrande doesn’t have that luxury, so I’m contemplating if there’s any convenient way I could make her skirt easier to handle or I’ll simply have to try it as-is.

As for the scroll, it’s got drawings on both sides! Blame the scribe for not sticking to one side! Or drawing it on end, or whatever! And if that fails, I blame Blizzard for how their scroll model doesn’t have a backside and how it’s been mapped. *nods sagely*
